After leaving corporate America and returning to beauty, I was shocked by how the industry had declined. This industry thrives on intimacy & flexibility, in our techniques, relationships, and schedules.

But now, many big salons neglect these values, prioritizing profit over passion, treating their artist & top performers like numbers, and allow toxic work environments to persist in hopes of avoiding profit loss, which often backfires.

Being a stylist, mother, and having managed one of the biggest salons in Atlanta, I've experienced the rift first-hand. I've seen too many stylists get burned, silenced, or pushed out for not subscribing to big-business's demands, including myself.

After being forced out of my position and black-listed from the sister salons in my area, I searched for resources to set up an independent business but found nothing for independent stylists, only solutions designed for big salons.

Trying to start a new career and provide for my family as a single parent with two weeks of pay in the bank was one of the most stressful times in my life. By the grace of GOD alone, I found a team that took me under their wing.

That experience left me with one goal: To ensure no one has to face that journey alone.

I realized that with my experience in marketing, business management, and as a stylist, I had all the ingredients to formulate success for stylists who've had enough.

​Now, stylists have an option that works FOR them, NOT against them. They can access the community, stability, and leverage of big-salons when they're out on their own, and feel safe & confident turning their big-salon careers into thriving independent businesses.

The bigger our community grows, the more impact we can provide, and I'm looking forward to seeing that impact come to life.
